- Involved in leading the development of innovative wireless equipment designs which meet performance, cost and schedule objectives and follow them through prototype and pilot phases.
- Responsible for the circuit design and schematic capture, PCB design & Layout
- Ensure design solution meets the product specifications and standards for wireless devices and equipment .Should be familiar with existing & emerging wireless technologies .
- Work closely with other department Engineers to optimize the layout and ensure proper documentation of design specifications and other support documentation required for part procurement / manufacturing.
- Work closely with Project Manager to construct proper schedules and ensure timelines are met.
- Works with a team of engineers on design and development of hardware for the highest level of commitment to continuous improvement in quality, cost and delivery.
- Performs all aspects of design, development, implementation and test of embedded micro-controller-based analog and digital circuits for the RF communication & industrial automation sectors. This includes requirements analysis, hardware schematic design ,design calculations, worst case analysis, and components derating calculations, circuit simulations, and testing of engineering prototypes.
- Follows development process, creates and maintains engineering documents to meet Quality System requirements. Prepares design documentation for release and writes reports. Participates in design reviews.
- Interfaces with other internal & external groups such as software engineering, mechanical engineering, PCB design, CAD, test equipment, product validation, manufacturing, purchase and the customer as required for product development.
- PCB designing & Layout experience will be an added advantage.
- Works on improvement of personal and departmental technical capabilities.
- Supports customer builds, launches and production at company and customer plants. Drives to resolve any technical issues encountered by the customer during their development process.
- Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Evaluates and implements design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
- Provides customer support and for internal organizational support for mechanical, electrical and electronic design and manufacturing both on a module and systems level.
