Remote Monitoring and Alarm Management

iM2M terminal will continuously monitor the Digital input, Analog inputs and Serial port of the client devices connected to it. The data/status collected is analyzed to identify any alarm situations.
Alarm information along with present status of client devices will be forwarded to mobile numbers configured via SMS and/or to remote server via GPRS.


Remote Control

iM2M terminal controls the end device based of the status parameters gathered from DI, AI and Serial Interface. Activity report will be forwarded to authorized mobile numbers via SMS or to remote server via GPRS.

  • Switch ON/OFF Pumps, Generators, etc.
  • Update Register values of Modbus Client Devices
  • Send proprietary protocol commands/data via serial port
  • Send SMS to field personnel

Controlling can be done by sending SMS from authorized mobile numbers to iM2M. SMS sender will get a message from the iM2M for the activity completed.
iM2M can be configured for controlling connected devices at specific time or at configured time intervals.

Remote Telemetry and AMR applications

Various parameters values measured / sensed by iM2M are transferred to remote severs / mobiles phones at regular intervals. In addition to periodic transmission of data iM2M can be

  • Queried for the current parameter values.
  • Configured for event based data collection and transmission.


Wireless bridging

iM2M terminals use used to build wireless bridge between two devices at remote locations. The bridge is independent of machines linked to iM2M. Over the wireless bridge one machine can communicate with the other machine as if it is a wired connectivity.


Automatic Weather Station

Automatic Weather Station offers weather monitoring data for weather research & analysis. The standard weather station consists of a weatherproof enclosure which contains the data logger and power supply, and comes complete with a solar panel, tripod stand and range of sensors. The data stored in the data logger will be transmitted to central servers using GSM and/or GPRS connectivity. User friendly WEB based software is provided for real time analysis of weather data. Data can be downloaded in Excel and CSV formats.

Cellcomm's Automatic weather station is equipped with Air Temperature & Humidity Sensor, Barometric Pressure, Wind Speed Sensor, Wind Direction Sensor, Rain Gauge and Solar Radiation Sensor. Other sensors like Soil Moisture, Soil Temperature, Leaf Temperature, Leaf Wetness sensors can be integrated with Weather Station

Short Range Wireless Mesh Network

Short Range Wireless Devices are used for data acquisition from multiple devices in the same floor/complex or compound. Master Wireless Terminal (connected to Master / SCADA) creates a mesh network with other Client Wireless Terminal connected to the client devices. The SCADA/server polls the client devices in the network as if the devices are in a wired network. In this application we can have devices with RS232 and RS 485 together. Devices with RS232 will have RS232 Wireless Terminal and devices with RS 485 will have RS485 Wireless Terminal.


GSM – Wireless Hybrid Solution

In a Hybrid Solution of iM2M Terminal and Zigbee Mesh Network, iM2M acts as Modbus master. iM2M collects the data at regular intervals form the Modbus client devices in the Zigbee Mesh Network and transmits to remote Server/Mobiles over SMS / GPRS.


Short Range Wireless Sensor Network

A wireless sensor network (WSN) consists of distributed autonomous sensors to monitor physical or environmental conditions (such as temperature, humidity, pressure, smoke etc.) and to collectively pass their data through the network to a main location. Modern networks are bi-directional, also enabling control of sensor activity. Today such networks are used in many industrial and consumer applications, such as industrial process monitoring and control, machine health monitoring, and so on.


GPRS Gateway


Gateway software installed in a computer with static IP establishes online connectivity with remote client iM2M’s via GPRS. When SCADA polls the local host via modbus TCP/RTU/ preparatory protocol, Gateway software accepts the modbus query and collects reply from respective client devices connected to the remote iM2M terminals via GPRS.


iM2M terminal connected to the remote devices polls the device at regular intervals and transfer the data to Gateway software. Gateway software shall keep the latest data from all the clients in memory. Whenever SCADA sends a poll request to a particular client, gateway software answers with the latest data of the respective client, available in the memory. In this solution, the polling parameters configured in each iM2M and SCDA poll request should be the same.

Sine the static IP and port are configurable in the remote iM2M’s, it directly hooks with the gateway software whenever there is power restart or network reconnection. Average poll timeout is 5 to 10 seconds depending on the network strength.
